Great Deal on P&G Products at Rainbow Foods on 2/13
>> Thursday, February 11, 2010
As mentioned in my deals list for Rainbow Foods this week, there's a great promotion on P&G products that could earn you a $10.00 prepaid Visa card.
So I went to Rainbow and worked the deal yesterday and it turned out great! I spent $12.22 OOP and I will get the $10.00 Visa back, making my net total $2.22. I spent more than I needed to though! This is what my transaction looked like:
1 Tide Stain Release, 36oz
2 Crest Prohealth Toothpaste
2 Crest Prohealth Mouth Wash
3 Oral-B Satin Floss
1 Nyquil Caplets
1 Dayquil Caplets
1 box of Puffs tissues
Total Before Sales or Coupons: $43.55
These are the coupons I used:
$3.00/1 from 1/10 RP for 36oz Tide Stain Release
**stacked with ad coupon for Rainbow sale price, which took another $2.00 off
$0.75/1 from 2/7 PG for Crest Toothpaste (used 2)
$2.00/1 from 2/7 PG for Crest Prohealth Mouth Wash (used 2)
$2.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Nyquil
$2.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Dayquil
$1.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Oral-B Satin Floss (used 3)
BOGO coupon from 2/7 PG for Puffs wyb two Vicks products (took off $1.35)
After the five coupons that were $1.00 or less were doubled, my total discounts from the sale prices and coupons totaled: $32.64
I had my own shopping bags, so I received another $0.10 off, which made my total OOP with tax $12.22!!
Now looking back, I'm happy with what I purchased, but I could have even made it into a money-maker. Here's my recommended scenario:
1 Tide Stain Release, 36oz (6.99)
2 Crest Prohealth Mouth Wash (5.98)
3 Oral-B Satin Floss (6.00)
1 Nyquil Caplets (4.00)
1 Dayquil Caplets (4.00)
1 box of Puffs tissues - (1.35, but doesn't count towards PG amount)
Total: $26.97
Then use these coupons:
$3.00/1 from 1/10 RP for 36oz Tide Stain Release
**stack with ad coupon for Rainbow sale price, $2.00 off
$2.00/1 from 2/7 PG for Crest Prohealth Mouth Wash (use 2)
$2.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Nyquil
$2.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Dayquil
$1.00/1 from 1/17 PG for Oral-B Satin Floss (use 3)
BOGO coupon from 2/7 PG for Puffs wyb two Vicks products (take off $1.35)
With the three $1.00/1 for the Oral-B Satin Floss doubled, the total off all coupons will be $20.35.
Results:
Total: $26.97
Coupons: -$20.35
Total OOP Expense: $6.62
Submit for $10.00 Visa
$3.38 Money-Maker!!
The only difference in my $2.22 OOP vs. the $3.38 money-maker is the lack of 2 tubes of toothpaste.
Also of note: the only doubled coupons in this scenario are the three $1.00/1 on the floss, so if you couldn't go on Saturday and wanted to do this deal today (Thursday) or Friday, you would still make money! You would only make $0.38 and your OOP expense would be $9.62.
What other good scenarios have you come up with?
