Huggies Deal at Walgreens (with rolling RRs!)

>> Tuesday, February 9, 2010

UPDATE: The RR are no longer rolling on this deal as of last night. Hope you got a good deal while it was rolling!

Yesterday, Mercedes reported that the Register Rewards on Huggies at Walgreen's were rolling, and today I found that to be true.

I just stocked up on Huggies for $3.00 a pack, which for me equaled $0.11 per diaper (which is a great deal, my kids wear sizes 5 and 6).

Here's how it works:

1 jumbo pack of Huggies: $8.99
Use $2.00/1 Printable manufacturers' coupon
Use $1.00/1 Walgreen's coupon from the Children's Activity Book (thank you Patti!!!)
Total OOP: $5.99, Get $3.00 RR

But it's rolling! So my second-eighth transaction looked like this:

1 jumbo pack of Huggies: $8.99
1 small filler item (I got the pencils for $0.20 with ad coupon)
Use $2.00/1 Printable manufacturers' coupon
Use $1.00/1 Walgreen's coupon from the Children's Activity Book (thank you Patti!!!)
Use $3.00 RR from previous transaction
Total OOP: $3.19, Get $3.00 RR

I might not need to buy diapers for the rest of the year, after last weeks deals at CVS, Rainbow and now today at Walgreen's.

It looks like in your 1st transaction you bought one item and used 2 coupons and in your 2nd thru 8th transaction you only bought 2 things but were able to use 4 coupons. I thought that Walgreens required you have equal number of items as coupons?

That is true, however, Walgreen's coupons don't count. It is only manufacturer coupons for which you must have an equal number of items to coupons.

Just think of it as stacking a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon, just like at any other store. One item, one store coupon, one manufacturer coupon.

Does that help?
